    My 85 has glass pack exhaust. True dual! Yuck on glass packs on diesel!! Going to be cutting them out soon and just running a dump out the back. Preferably I want stacks but will have to wait due to money! B

    UPDATE: Glued the nipple back into place and let it sit for a day and half. Got in it and took it down the road and shifted soft and even. Brakes still a little hard but may just need some more bleeding. Now to get the smoking issues from the other post sorted out.

    I got some numbers off another site. Gonna look it up later. As far as bypassing the original is it simply take the lines off the separator and splice them in?

    Hmm. Ok I just went out to look at it so I may see what I can come up with. Saw on another site a filter replacement from napa with a head unit to do away with it so may look into that. Thanks guys. Hopefully this will resolve it without having to change the IP. Not looking forward to that...

    Haha! Yea. It has new filter. I am gonna replace the rubber return line to the filter and I'm not sure about the separator. I don't see any other separator and have never messed with the ones on the 6.9. As for the fuel it is full and clean. I haven't checked what fuel looks like when running...

    Yea. The International guy here said could be the (governor ring) in the pump I believe and may need a new pump. I have ascertained today that the VRV is bad but haven't been able to find a replacement yet. Not sure if that could cause the same symptoms though.

    Ok..I figured out what VRV is but been looking for it on line and have not been able to locate it any where. Any ideas on where to get it? I have a local International shop maybe they will have it.

    Oil is good. No issues at all. Sucks down the fuel when it happens. Originally thought to be injectors but they are all new now and no improvement. Word was the pump was turned up in one time but has since been turned down( my understanding).

    Definitely put a little oil in the cylinders. Don't hurt nothing doing it and will ensure a smooth beginning. If you don't then an endless number of problems could occur.

    Ok sounds good. Well here's what's going on. Hard start...obviously. Runs at idle and around house good no issues. Get on the road for about 10 minutes and it starts bellowing massive white and black smoke. Starts an injector knock and looses power. If I let off and slow down it finally...

    Hey y'all. Have an 85 6.9 diesel. I noticed on the black plastic peice on the "right side when facing injector pump that where the vacuum line pushes on one is broken...any ideas what it is? Thinking governor but not sure. I will try and get a photo.
