First find out if fuel is going into the engine at all , and if fuel is going in there does it have a lot of air. There is a youtube video on how to check for air in our old engine by temporarily replacing the fuel line with clear hose and see where the air in being injected in the system...
you know when I went to the parts counter at my local ford dealership and at my local truck center I asked for the CDR valve (I got one just in case it was bad) and they gave me blank stares. There isn't enough IDI's still around.
