it's a 3/4 ton so won't be worth the hassle. thanks for the info though, definitely looking to make my truck into 4x4 as it's rust free, gonna keep my eyes peeled for a superduty donor!
can i use these 4x4 chevy axles to convert my F250?
anyone know if these will work? they're off a '78 chevy and they're dirt cheap, I'd like to convert my '85 F250 2wd.
block heater must not be working, you can tell if you feel the upper rad hose after it's been plugged in for an hour or more should be warm (just warm, not hot).
do you have constant 4-5psi fuel pressure at the schrader valve on the filter? sounds to me like you have a restriction somewhere in the tank or lines.
why lh lugs though? all the lugnuts were hard to get off for some reason- po probably didnt realize and jammed them on there- so i'll have to replace some & would rather go with rh if it doesnt matter.
coming out of an '84 F250, pretty sure it's not the original as per po, has left handed lugs on the drivers side- do i need to keep those for some reason?
i see, i doubt mine is even working it never feels even warm to the touch, i just figured if nothing else they would lower fuel viscosity and maybe make it easier on the ip.
i once ran over something on the interstate with a gasser that put a few small holes in the bottom of the gas tank. i completely drained the tank, cleaned the area & roughed it up then applied jb weld to it forcing some into the tank & let it dry for a day or 2. had the car for a few more...
got the heater on the hardline from the lift pump to the filter head on my '85, is there a good way to tell if these are working properly besides checking voltage from the harness? Also, i've got an extra one from another complete 6.9 in my garage and im thinking of putting it inline just after...
yeah it's a pain at first but if you really love these trucks like i do every problem although a short-term negative is actually a long-term positive, there's nothing like the feeling of knowing your vehicle, to me it's my freedom!
if its cheap, which it probably is as most yards dont know or care about these old trucks excepf for driveline parts, definitely grab the ip, even if its shot I believe mel, etc buys them for rebuild.
