    Wabco air compressor vs York.

Can't seem to find the "adapter" for this pump to mate to a power steering pump. Everything shows a 2 bolt flange like the front of the pump, rather than the 4 bolt I have on the back.

    Wabco air compressor vs York.

So Cummins doesn’t seem to be able to find anything on the adapter coupler. I called WABCO and they were even less help. Anyone have a part number that may work?

    Wabco air compressor vs York.

I had looked at the early dodge units but couldn’t seem to find a picture that coupler, other than the washer. The rust on that unit is all surface rust from sitting in storage on the bay in Alaska, otherwise it’s a freshly rebuilt unit. But I definitely plan to clean and paint before...

    Wabco air compressor vs York.

Guess I’ll head to the Cummins dealer in the morning and see if I can get some part numbers. Thanks for the help

    Wabco air compressor vs York.

Reliability is definitely a factor but what to do with all that un used air? If it’s running all the time is it constantly pushing more air? Can I mount a dodge power steering pump on the back of the Wabco compressor?

    Wabco air compressor vs York.

So I'm running a cummins 4bta, with a home made bracket for the stock power steering pump, '72 Blazer in signature. I would like to add an air compressor to this truck for, well reasons I shouldn't have to explain. I currently have both a York air compressor leftover from another project and a...

What tools/spares should I bring for a cross country trip in a new to me truck?

I drove from Homer, Alaska to Grand Junction, Colorado around 4,000 miles. She made it, all the way only to have a valve break a week later. It’s now completely rebuilt and rockin. The Blazer belonged to my brother, who passed away, he had bought it with the Cummins in it from someone in Oregon.

What tools/spares should I bring for a cross country trip in a new to me truck?

I did something similar, where I flew to Alaska to pick up my Blazer, drove back to Colorado. I used USPS ship to fit packages and sent my tools and spare parts up beforehand. You'd be surprised how much stuff you can jam in a box.

Can I use WMO on my 2007 3500 Dodge diesel

Ok, I see. I misread that. Thanks for clarifying. I'm using a series of 10 inch whole house filters, they've held up very well for the last couple years and are very cheap to replace. I'm definitely going to look into adding a magic bead setup somewhere in line. I don't typically have an issue...

Can I use WMO on my 2007 3500 Dodge diesel

I think the metal content would be more of an issue with where your getting your oil. Average mechanic shop is dealing with everybody out there, quality of the oil is going to be all over the place. Some people don't care as much about their vehicles as we do. What centrifuge are you using...

    Manual shift transfer case

You would think so, however the wires for the auto shift tranny run to the GEM module or to a pair of relays under the hood. The indicator lights are tied into this systm on the auto shift. The manual shift case simply runs directly to the indicator lights, grounding out to complete the...

Can I use WMO on my 2007 3500 Dodge diesel

The problem the government seems to have with people running alternative fuels is the same thing the government is always complaining about, money. If your running alternative fuels your not paying road taxes. The biggest issue I saw with running WMO is the potential of heavy metals making it...

    Manual shift transfer case

150 for a case would've been nice, paid 300 was the same for either one. The manual case does just use a two wire plug, it grounds out and turns the lightS on. The auto case uses two plugs one with 6 wires the other with two. It is controlled by the GEM and a pair of relays under the hood...

    NP 271 TC interchange

physically it would bolt in without any issues. However I don't know about attaching the manual linkage to the auto case, I believe they are different. I've got my auto t-case sitting in the shop. I'll pull the motor off and snap a pic this afternoon.

    Manual shift transfer case

The smaller bracket is for a manual t-case on an automatic transmission, the other is for a manual transmission. The only difference is the the location that the shifter linkage bolts to the transmission. On the small bracket (auto tranny) the shifter pivot sets in the back of the two holes...

Top picture is the linkage on a manual transmission, manual transfer case. The bottom is mine, this is all the way forward in 2 high. You can see where I had to massage the opening to allow 4 lo.

    Manual shift transfer case

It's a little different between the obs and super dutys. The manual shift t-case has a two prong plug that grounds the switch for either 4 high or low. The electric has two sets of plugs, total of 8 wires, non of which match the manual. I will probably just run new wires to the dash or leave it...

    Manual shift transfer case

So I bought the case it went in smooth, the only issue I ran into was the shift linkage. There are a couple options on the linkage the one I got set the shifter back too far, I will get the other setup today. Does anyone know how to adapt the wiring harness so that the shift light will come on?

2002 Super duty, 7.3, 321k on the odometer, auto transmission, electric shift transfer case. Lately I've been hearing a grinding noise at low speeds coming from the transfer case, I drained it and found a piece of what looks like a planetary thrust washer. I found locally a guy with a manual...

    Adding a fuse block?

Yes, it uses standard Bosch relays for 5 of the 6 slots. The last one is a 4 pin relay, I'm not sure but I believe it's for an import starter relay.
