    Thing is , if it starts and runs for a couple of sec then dies generaly the pump has to be good because otherwise it wouldnt even start. is it possible your sucking air at the tank pick up because of the way it is sitting. IE the broken fuel pick up deal.

    The "runs for 2-3 sec then dies" is the tell tale sign of air intrution in the fuel system. unfotunatly its not always easy to find. On my 94 the filter housing was leaking a tiny bit (o-ring fix), also the scrader valve on the housing was leking Just a bit I pulled the fitting and cleaned the...

    7.3 IDI won't stay running

    10-4 . Mine did the same and it was a combo GPs And the filter housing was leaking ever so slightly. the little bit of fuel at the filter and lines would start it but then it would die.Easy fix (orings) and works great now.

    :dunnoI know this has been covered some where just can't find it. So will the longer 1995 PSD oil filter work on the 94 n/a IDI. (fit and seal) I think frams # for the 95 is PH3786. Sound right?

    Icanfixall. You are so right about the site, I have been on other sites that if your not ,in the know , your somehow a problem. As far as you helping me goes, You had replyed to a post from someone else about the WTS light on duration on IDIs you put in that up to 20 sec. was normal. thats good...
