catalytic converter on a 86 diesel?
I went to get my trucks inspection today here in Texas and was told that my truck needed a cat-con, and I got into it with the guy and told him its a f###### diesel and doesnt need one but am I rite or wrong ?- 1986IDI6.9L

engine wants to shut off
Ok i need help, i had parked my truck for about 1 month went to start using it again and when i went to use my front fuel tank drove about a mile and it stumbles like if it running out of fuel or maybe water in fuel. the tank has 1/2 tank of fuel in what could be the problem any suggestions...- 1986IDI6.9L

tempature readings
ok so today my gauges that i ordered came and i hooked them up oil pressure is good 20 psi idling and about 45 psi 1500 rpm. but i am confused on how my temp gauge only reads 160* while my stock gauge is on the L of normal. Also with my truck running at 160* how does it affect the performance of...- 1986IDI6.9L
