well just went and rebuilt my motor this winter. Took a big trip towing my fifthwheel (33') to Yellowstone 700 miles one way...one problem my ASS hurt bad. I need new seat. does anyone know where i can buy a new seat for my old 84. i am really looking for a 40-20-40 split. PLEASE HELP!!!!
I believe my son borrowed a template tool from typefour that really worked good for the redrilling after we drilled it slipped right in no problems at all
so if this was your motor you just put 4k in it had the low end balanced coated pistons turbo cal pump high pop psi sticks and cam all from R&D what would you set the ring gap? should i split those numbers like top ring at 19, bottom at 65, oil ring at 17??? i just have alot of cash and really...
just to let everybody know i am running go to be running turbo cal pump and cam from R&D and coated pistons should be hitting boost levels of about 20 psi...thank you

well I started my 6.9 Build. sent my pump, injectors and cam to R&D. ordered head studs from Summit, ordered a master rebuild kit from Northern Auto Parts (i am impressed) sent pistons out to Performance Coatings yesterday. Block is all ready at machine shop waiting on the pistons to come back...
I am rebuilding my 1984 6.9:sly who makes a good master rebuild kit for this motor. my plans are balance low end, ceramic coating pistons, R&D cam, R&D turbo cal pump, and R&D high pop pressure injectors. your thoughts or suggestions PLEASE! :thumbsup:
RLDSL, i would like to know more and how you set up a zero pressure system, I see you tow with your rig and you have no overheating issues? I know when I am pulling a big hill WOT in 4th the engine temp will climb to 220 and stays there that is when I drop a gear to 3rd over and it will cool...
I made my own when I move the battery to the frame rail to make room for the cold air intake box. I just used some old welding lead and solder some end on them works GREAT!
