I haven't tried one yet. I'm planning to swap from brick to obs and was gonna order everything from them. I've only had one issue with a door I bought and they refunded me the price of it and told me to keep the door too. Awesome customer support!

Your cab mounts might be shot. The other guy said it falls out. Plus it's supposed to be serviceable. Banks makes good products and wouldn't usually make life harder. Maybe you have new bushings already, I don't know that but if you don't i suggest checking then.

Cool build! I put an idi in my 79 bronco years ago. I no longer have the truck though. Illinois state police took it from me for too many overheight tickets! By the way I'm in Mchenry. Bout 25 minutes west of you.
Not sure if the diesel uses one but the kick down is probably out of adjustment. It should be adjusted with throttle wide open and with the kick down as far as it will go. Also a lot of the vacuum modulators are adjustable and that could be causing your early shift.
Also I ran into this last fall on my truck. You could have a battery that is internally shorted. It will cause such a current issue that it wont crank fast enough to start the truck. I run Interstate blemish batteries group 107 or 108. They are for the Mercedes diesel ups and fedex trucks...
Don't use ether on a diesel. Us silicone spray! Same for two stroke motors. We use ether in the field as brake cleaner cause its cheaper. Dries fast too and has little to no lube. Diesels and two stroke motors need this lube. Also it wont blow your heads off the block like ether can.
Well I didn't get a chance to take pictures yet. I'll try to get some up tomorrow. As for the torque I only tighten by hand with a 4" shorty wrench. I've checked multiple times n one handed with no leverage is 18-22ft lbs. Like I said I've been doing this day in n day out for 15 yrs now. I've...
The joints are stock. I won't use first gear because it just blows the driveshaft apart. I normally will tow anything I can put behind it. During the winter its my custom 8 place snowmobile hauler. During the summer its my race trailer or camper. But I'll normally hook to anything. This issue is...
Towcat that's the plan. I found a yard with a few of them. The timing is good. The last time it blew I took it to a Driveline shop n had the shaft completely re done. The yoke gets destroyed because the joint explodes. Its a stupid strap type yoke! Towcat what size joint does the dana 80 use...
The rear end is fine. The driveshaft angles are also good. Everytime this happens I have to replace the pinion yoke. The truck is 2wd and stock height. I'm an ase certified tech with 15 years in the industry. I can only determine that the joints are to small. This has even stumped my father who...
The u joint at the diff kept breaking. This time that one and the one at the center bearing broke too. The shaft also twisted this time. I have a shop that will build a complete new shaft to my specs but I need to figure out a new pinion flange.
My truck is a 91 F-350 cc Dually 7.3 zf 5 speed and no matter what I have done I keep blowing the rear section of the driveshaft out of it. This was now the third time now. for some reason it has small u joints in it. I'm worried if I can't find a better set up that my compound turbo set up will...
Holy orange peal Batman!!!! My 11 yr old has done better! From the look and description this was someones project that was not finished. A dealer bought it and sent it out to be beaned out for quick sale. See it all the time around here. But then again this looks like a shitty in house job! I...
