Hi guys, it's been awhile....
I was trying to remember the name of the oil additive that you can use to free stuck lifters and such. Can someone remind me please?
Thanks

I'm preparing for another trip to northern WI at Christmas this year. I'm getting ready to replace the batt cables. I remember hearing, or seeing, or reading something about replacing the wire from the GP Controller on the back of the manifold, to the battery. I seem to remember it had something...
The wife and I went to claim our house in northern WI over labor day (her grandma passed in July, leaving us with the house) and while we were there, my Dad had a heart attack in Denver. He's fine...had a quad bypass...got home from the hospital and was complaining my mother was watching the...
I have to bite the bullet this week and get tires before I head back up to WI next month. Unfortunately, I'm not going to be able to do wheels this time around, so I'm stuck with factory steels :puke:. I'm looking at the Yokohama GEOLANDAR A/T-S LT and want to roll with 285/75/16's.
Anyone got...
Ok...I'll admit it, the internal clip style ujoint is whooping my ass. Maybe it's the heat evaporating my patience like water, I dunno. Anyway, I have the right front axle on the bench, c clips removed and I can't figure out how to get the caps off.
I don't think I can press one side through...
A friend of mine gave me a hook up on a 3 inch exhaust system he had laying around. I figured it had to be better than stock so I laid out and put it on today. I think it sounds nice....and lol, I think I have my fuel set about right too...
Anyway....enjoy...
It would appear that my starter is on the way out, dead spot in the solenoid or something. I turn the key, it goes click...try it a couple of times and it works. It's a PITA -cuss
Are the stock motorcraft starters direct drive or gear reduced? And are the Mitzy starters the same as the...
Ok...so I'm a little excited. I got one of the pumps from Uhaul, and my cousin in Denver sent me new BB's he had lying around for free....wow...truck goes...

I was having a hard time getting over 2500 rpm's...
Took the truck on her first road trip from Tulsa to Ashland, WI. Truck ran great my only complaint was the snow storm we hit out of Des Monies and we're stuck in past the cities. Truck took it in stride, only locked it down into 4 twice, both times in towns off the highway, the rest of the time...
K dumb question time....
I took the front driveshaft out a year ago, and I can't remember if the double Cardan joint goes toward the axle or the tcase. Help!!...:dunno
Ok I'm excited and no one else cares, so I figured you might guys might care...or at least understand. LOL
I just got back from a run to Bentonville, Arkansas. The point of the trip was to shakedown the truck before I go to Duluth next week. It was a good test...30 degrees and a 20 mile...
After 13 months, 1 good body, 2 idi donors.....the truck is running as it should. There's a couple of little things that need to be tweaked...but it looks like she's finally right. A small puff of black when you hammer on it but that's it. No oil consumption either. I was shocked at how quickly...
I'm getting ready to go out and drill the manifold. My question is, do you install the thermocouple directly into the manifold or are you drilling out for a big ass npt brass fitting and then screw the probe into that?
I've been searching all morning and can't find a clear answer.
Yes I know this has been beat to death, and everyone runs ATF. The reason I'm asking, is I was getting ready to fill the trans after the swap and I checked the book to see what the capacity was. The book said, manuals built in 87 used 85-90w. I happened to notice the build date, and the tranny...
I'm making a run to Northern WI (hour east of Duluth right off the Lake) and I was looking at the Fia grill cover. I notice a few members here run them, and I wanted to know if the cover comes with the sticky studs or do you have to buy them separately?
Thanks guys
Long story short, I bought another 89 f350 for the motor and zf transmission. This one is a 2 wheel drive. There's a big disc on the back of the transmission that the driveshaft goes into. Am I right in thinking this is the parking brake and the "regular" 2 wheel drive transmission just had a...
Does anyone know a reputable machine shop in Tulsa that can do the guides in my heads? I'm betting one of the guides is allowing oil to get by and cause my oil consumption...currently at a gallon every 100 miles.
Thanks.
Was trying to troubleshoot a rear tank issue, not getting any fuel from the rear tank with a half tank full. Anyway, I pulled the filter off to re-prime it and when I did that the brass screw plug and the fuel heater guts came with the filter. I must have over tightened it putting on. :dunno...
Been out driving the truck....it's smooth as silk, at least going down the road. Still need to replace the injectors and the ip. Have a hard time getting up to 70 mph and blowing white smoke during accel, gets worse on decel, and no smoke at cruising speed.
Bunch of little stuff to fix, tweak...
To the a$#$^#%%$ at BW who that an aluminum fill plug, in an aluminum tcase was a good idea....I hope some one pees in your coffee daily....-cuss-cuss-cuss-cuss
Aside from my lift pump problem, I'm trying to get the a/c working. Is there a trick to breaking loose the big ass nut going to the evaporator? I've hit with PB blaster, there's no pressure in the system, I've busted out the BFW with a "tool extension", and heated it up and melted a candle to...
So I got the truck to the point where she is cranking, but no fire. I primed the fuel filter and had the wife crank the truck while I held in the schrader valve on the filter head. After a few tries, all I got was a little spray. So I disconnected the metal supply line and had the wife try...
These are prolly dumb questions, but it's been months since I've seen this work.
First question - From the starter solenoid, is it a 10 gauge wire that runs down to the starter?
Second question - For the guys with manuals, how far will the throttle linkage move with the cable hooked up...
