what is a good A/M electric fuel pump for a 6.9l?
Walbro Industrial E-Lift Pump, FRB-13. Fuel pressure and flow rate are good, Marine rated Coast Guard approved.. Pretty much bullet proof.- BioFarmer93

PSD vs IDI fuel economy
Not for a 7.3, you can build a very nice drycell unit for about $300. The burn is faster and specific impulse is improved, so less time to heat the head, cylinder & piston. What gauges would you install?
Primary 3 inside- Volts Mechanical Vacuum Mechanical coolant temp On hood- mechanical oil pressure mechanical fuel pressure My gauges are mix n' match, but I'm not too vain about such things, they just have to be accurate and always work. Same here, and I run a Goldenrod waterblock filter in front of it to meet warranty requirements. Best pump by far (IMHO)- industrial marine pumps HAVE to be better simply because of their anticipated environment and the lives depending on them. I have it mounted on the passenger side frame rail.- BioFarmer93

I run twin Auber digital's, and can't imagine why anyone would think that only a single one would suffice on a V style engine.. Or... you could just chuck it in the trash and install a mechanical vacuum gauge somewhere in the cab. It will let you know a lot sooner that your pump is getting ready to suck its last breath.- BioFarmer93

This is what I run on the passenger side frame rail, after a valve isolated waterblock filter. Went through all of the pump/filter trauma several years ago.
