I just bought another beat up 85 f250 6.9 auto because it has a pretty new engine in it but the truck is very rough. My truck is very nice with a worn out engine. 6.9 Next week I will swap engines. 84 6.9 Where to start finding oil consumption
I just aquired my neigbors old 84 4x4. Been sitting for a couple of years. He said it was using 2 quarts of oil every 150 miles. First I have to get it running, then I figure I will check compression. Where is the next place to go to determine where all the oil is going? Mark- 69800

Parts off an 84 for my 85???
I have an 85 f250 4x4 with a 6.9. Its my farm truck. Got 174000 mi on it . My neighbor has a dead 84 6.9 sitting in the barn. Quit driving it cause it was using more oil than fuel. He is thinking about sending it to the scrap yard. Are there any parts I should grab off of it that would be nice...- 69800
