Hi everyone. Here what were working with. 93 f250 7.3 non turbo e40d transmission 4x4. So I just got done putting in a different transmission and now the truck won't start. I have a electric fuel pump that's working. I have fuel going to the injection pump but not to the injectors. This happened before a few months ago in Wyoming. When we got home we did fuel filter and did the transmission fluid trick. Haven't had a problem till now. It's been in a heated garage and glow plugs are working. It will pop a few times bit that's it. Any suggestions.??

Well I can hear the fuel shut off solenoid clicking so that should be fine. All I get is a few pops from it. There's power to glow plugs an they seem to be working. Any other suggestions

Yes no fuel to the injectors cracked all but two and cranked it for a bit. I cracked the line feeding the injection pump at the filter and fuel spurts out. I also just tried my spare injection pumps fuel shut off complete cap. And no luck. I even turned the fuel pump on to make sure it was getting to it.i Even had block heater plugged in in the 65deg garage. Very strange?? When this happened in Wyoming we it took about 4 hrs of cranking and battery charging but it some how started and has been running for 5 months. What I did when we got back was changed the olives an fuel filter. ???

Just because it clicks doesn't absolutely mean it's working. You say it's popping once in a while. Is that on its own fuel or fuel you are adding through the intake or???

If you aren't getting fuel out the injector lines, it's not going to run. If you have supply fuel from the lift pump, but nothing out the lines, it just about has to be a pump related problem.

We did spray a little walmart brand wd 40 while cranking. And that's prob why it was popping. Well I guess the next thing is to try the spare pump.

Sounds like your pump is the problem here, we've pretty much eliminated all of the other fuel related lines. If you're getting fuel at the feed line but nothing at the injectors then the only other thing between them is the pump. Swap it out for your spare and let us know what's happening.

Hi again, well I finally had a chance to swap pumps over and we do have some firing but no full start. I lined up the pump line with the oil fill case line. So after work tomorrow I'm going to try moving to the drivers side of the truck because we tried to the passengers side but it didn't fire at all.

You sure you didn't kink the suction line some place while changing the tranny?

Pull the return line off the top of the IP, crank the the engine, you should have a pretty good fuel flow out there, makes no difference where the timing is set at.
