Turbo Intercooler Sizes/Upgrades
I do t mean to intrude but im actually carious about maken a home made intercooler too. An would like to start learning about what parts would be good an cheap to look for. That also being said ive got a banks non waistgated turbo in my 7.3 an I hate it. It only really makes 10-12 pounds boost...- stacy santens

Finished my turbo everything seems to be working I just took it to have new tires thrown on. the old girls running way happier an with that loud turbo whistle iy sounds pretty mean. I ive got the pump turned up one flat an I still need to buy a pyrometer- stacy santens

Need parts for an Old banks non wastegated turbo
Befor I bought my injectors I made sure they were pop tested I dont know if that makes any difference. How ever my diesel is running way smoother now. Luckly I ended up with a day off so im going to try an knock my fire wall back to fit the exhaust pipe that comes off the turbo in.- stacy santens

Actually im carious about what your doing or did. I just put a banks non wastegated turbo on my old idi, an sh** i wanna find out whats compatible with it. If theres any thatll bolt on the the flange an put out more boost- stacy santens

Heres some pictures of what im doing. To be onnest ive always worked on gas moters, this is my first diesel an my first turbo instal so everything has been learn as I go. I relised sence I hadn't put the vent on the timing cover the crank case was sealed so when I started the truck up it built up pressure an forced the oil out threw the turbo. I then put the vent on where the timing cover is. Fired the truck up. It shot what little oil was left in it. An then no...- stacy santens

I just pulled it all off. I had a tottal brain fart. An feeling completely retarted now. I forgot the crank case build pressure. An what needs a rebuild now? The turbo?- stacy santens

Feeling very nieve Is it possible I hooked up the oil line wrong I just hooked it into a port I found on the side of the block by the oil filter as for the out let I plumbed it into the valley pan as that looked to be the only place it went- stacy santens

Banks non wastegated turbo question....
Im installing mine right now I have no Manuel im just winging it I got the oil line hooked up to what I think was right. Fired the truck up an it started blowing oil out of both ends of the turbo so now im looking for a rebuild kit- stacy santens

Im new here an really could use some help. I Just picked up a banks non wastegated turbo for my 1990 7.3 idi. I didnt have any manual for it so I just took some Time in figuring out how to instal it. I got as far as bolting it and the exhaust in plus hooking up the oil line. I fired up the truck...- stacy santens
