    Radiator mount question...

Not to hijack this thread, but does anyone know what this refers to for my radiator?

    Shameless plug to Mel

After sales support is second to none as well. Mel has taken his valuable time to help answer my questions in the past. Great people there along with good products!

    Facet Duralift #40223

40222 and 40223 are the same pump, but the 40223 has the Packard connector whereas the 40222 is bare wire. Pegasus Auto Racing has the 40222 in stock for $94.99. I have purchased both of my pumps (1 spare) from them with very good service.

What is the advantage of an electric Fuel pump? Pros and cons?

True enough. But would it be fair to say that the most likely cause of runaway would be due to injector pump problems?

What is the advantage of an electric Fuel pump? Pros and cons?

Changing out a mechanical pump alongside the road would be a real *****. I keep a spare Facet behind the seat with the hose fittings already installed with a plug connect on the electrical side. Changing this pump is a 15 minute job. In addition to the other things said, in case of a runaway...

US Gear Repair in North-Central Florida

About a year or so ago, I read in a post that someone had a shop somewhere in North-Central Florida repair their US Gear box for them. I have searched and searched and have been unable to find that post. I will be in that area in a couple of weeks, and if the person who posted that info...

    Real oil pressure gauge

Has anyone ever replaced the switch and modified the in-cab display accordingly to turn it into a true oil pressure guage? Should be doable, but might be more trouble than it's worth, but would make aa nice, clean installation.

    Alternators

Here are a few pictures of my one-wire alternator from DB Electric. Hope that they are helpful. You will note that I kept the original alternator to battery charging wire and ran the newer heavier gauge 4-0 wire in parallel with this. I also found a replacement connector to the voltage...

    Alternators

I too ended up purchasing a one-wire alternator from DB Electric, but because I am running V-belts, this was the model that I purchased: http://dbelectrical.com/p-4713-new-ford-truck-car-220-amp-high-output-alternator-1965-1992-7749.aspx As someone else said, the alternator needs to see...

    US Gear Surprise

Your photos of the DNE unit look the same as my US Gear unit, except for the name on the switch cover. As I mentioned before, mine does not have the internal switches (although it has the provisions to mount them) and uses a US Gear control box. Wonder if mine was manufactured shortly after...

    US Gear Surprise

Yes, my unit has this style of motor with the motor leads running in to the screw housing and connecting to the pins that penetrate the cover. These leads connect directly without switches, but switches could be installed as the box is configured for them. I would like to know if one of the...

    US Gear Surprise

Sorry, meant "TDP" for time delay pickup for a relay where the output is delayed upon receiving an input. A 'one shot' relay is also known as a 'single shot' or a pulse. A relay that would suit this purpose would be the TRD-M from Wolsten Tech...

    US Gear Surprise

Thanks for the information. The current sensing module seemed a bit much, as I understand that the screw gear has end-of-screw run on protection, so the motor current would never increase by much at end of travel. I have been in touch with a manufacturer of solid state relays that indicated...

    Carrier Lift Pump Mounting Assistance

Thanks for the feedback. Since I have the V-belt arrangement, it sounds as though removing the vacuum pump will free up the necessary area. Would you happen to have any information and/or pictures of how you went about it and the configuration of the mounting bracket that you used? Thanks...
