can anyone explain why the flywheel has to go with the plate? Just curious. also can I use the flywheel off of the gas motor on the cummins? It looks like it has the same bolt pattern for the crank im just concerned about the weight of it.
Hello I was wondering if the 24v flywheel housing( the plate that bolts on to the motor) is the same as the one for the 12v? So in other words can I unbolt the plate off of the 24v and bolt it on the 12v? Thanks.
PM me and I will just give you my phone number so I can explain it to you in person. I just don't want to keep typing it for people. Ill probably get arthritis from it some day, lol.

Thanks, I turned PM on so anyone who wants to PM me can. It only cost me $600 for everything to do the swap.

sure do!!!!
I made the tranny mount off of the old one I had on the automatic. The crossmember I made from a piece of allis chalmers frame.
Had to raise the body about 6-8 inches to get it to fit. I didn't raise the bed because my gooseneck ball and stacks and stuff. No one...
