Trucks & sporty cars should all have manual shift trans, IMO. That's the one thing I wish I could change in my new to me service truck, that damn fagomatic it came with! It was a fire rescue in it's former life, that's ALL those came with. I keep dreamin for a 13speed.. Lol- jbm6900

Lift pump question.
I did the same thing on my 5.9 freightliner. Tossed the inaccessable failure prone oe pump for the Fass pump, frame mounted closer to the fuel tank, & w/ a primary spin on f/f h2o separator, keeping the oe secondary canister filter. Except I wired using the factory harness, I wouldn't want it...- jbm6900

Service body, e40d, Parked it when it developed a bearing rap after working it for 20 someodd yrs, Banks exhaust, Buncha spare parts including a spare 94 factry turbo idi(bad, complete rebuildable parts engine) & spare e4od(good). Burning up fuel shut off solenoids.
I agree w/ both. You are correct about the pull in vs the hold in solenoid operation. Keeping the pull in energized will burn it out. And the cca wire is junk, don't believe anyone that says otherwise. Bunch of them liars on ebay...- jbm6900

Burning up fuel shut off solenoids.
Run a temp power jumper, them things just work... & like it was said earlier, the fuel cools it. Maybe even start it w/ cover off to verify fuel up there.- jbm6900
