Yeah you gotta have a 2 or 3 stage powdercoat for the chrome to hold up in the sun, single stage is cheap once you get into 2 and 3 stage it's getting close to chrome in cost. Lift pump going bad?
I've gotta be sitting around half tank now so if its going to happen after bumping fuel press. up its gotta be soon. Lift pump going bad?
Its a '97 p-pumped 12 valve, auto trans, and its in my '73 IH Travelall with 40gal tank, I've put nearly 4k miles on it without issue.. one thing I forgot to add was I installed a TorkTek OFV but even that has atleast 2k on it by now. Lift pump going bad?
Went to CA to pick up a vehicle last weekend (horror story) on the way home we were headed up a pretty steep hill on i10 and noticed my fuel pressure gauge getting wonky I mean this thing was all over between 0 & 30 psi was running but definitely felt it bog down when the needle went to 0...- idiTravelAll

OM606 swap questions
I'm no expert but to my knowledge the OM606 were all electronic, you more than likely have an OM603 IP on there.- idiTravelAll

I'm not sure but want to say head gaskets failures and cracked heads were common with those, read up years ago I've forgotten by now.. nevertheless I doubt I'd be able to find one I'm even having a hard time finding OM617s used to be able to find those whole cars for 1000 all day- idiTravelAll

Similar goals as the Travelall, 20mpg and no PCM.. so pretty much narrows it down to diesel haha. Would love to find one at a reasonable price, even 6bt is out of our budget on this. Just scooped this baby up in Camarillo, CA yesterday, guy we picked it up from has 150+ classics, tons of 27-32 Tudors and Fordors. Told my boy I will work on this with him and not for him. Seeking atleast 20mpg and to be able to get out of its own way, any recommendations? I doubt an OM617...- idiTravelAll

5.9 randomly loses power and shuts off
Yep mines been acting up, relay for fuel shutoff solenoid.. been tying it up and untying to shutdown.. tried to install a manual cable (planned to but wanted to wait until after I make a new dash) my darn FSS 8mm bolts do not want to move and its helluva tight spot after the conversion. Having no luck finding the next project, all these people out here are crazy and want 3 grand for a rust bucket. Friction feeling was intake manifold rubbing against my hydroboost, not that the hoods not stuck shut I was able to pinpoint it and stuff a chunk of rubber between the 2 for now...- idiTravelAll
