7.3 vs 6.9 fuel filter head
There is more than one style filter for these and I think more than one style base. I've had some trucks with a one piece filter with a drain on the bottom and also the one that screws on the bottom. If you have access to a salvage yard do some looking around.- Greg77

How do you check out a ZF that is not installed in a truck??
I got a used one and put in one of my trucks. WE changed over to a Luk clutch and took it out to change clutch. I had a guy working for me that had little or no brains. I told him how to take it out, this was a restored truck no rust, no grease, but he knew a better way. Long story he dropped it...- Greg77

Fuel System Maintance on 4.6
Since diesel prices started getting so high I got a newer Ford pickup with a 4.6 motor for highway usage. Runs great,good oil pressure. no oil leaks,starts good. I've still got my diesel for heavy work, has a five speed Tanny, runs and starts good 17 to 19 mpg. Gas is getting 17 to 18 mpg. To...- Greg77

Exhaust System 3"
I've got both a 1990 and 1993 pickups rebuilt from the ground up that are just about done. Both need new exhaust systems. I was just going to put on a Walker system from Napa but have been told I may gain just a little fuel economy and power by going to 3". I had found some systems a year ago...- Greg77

6.9 heads
I have 3 sets of 6.9 heads that are off running engines that cracked down by the starter and are going to parted out. If someone is interested I will have them checked by my local machine shop before they leave. Greg- Greg77
