1994 stock turbo rebuild help!
You will not have fun taking the turbo off. I did that when I got my old truck. Removing the turbo from the up-pipe is a huge pain in the ass, some of the nuts you can only turn a 1/4 turn at a time and everything is rusty. Speedometer jumping
Does an '87 have the electronic speedometer? In my '94 the speedo was electronic and I had issues with it jumping...and it was apparently the sensor (which was in the rear axle). Tried replacing it with a new sensor and it was even worse, so I left it alone. Sucked though because I couldn't...- ghunt

92 f250 TTB Front ads a leaf
It's usally the front shackle bushings....and get somebody to put polyurethane bushings in those front shackles if you can (I think it requires a press). I changed them out on mine but it didn't make much of a difference in ride height, that heavy front end just beats the crap out of those...- ghunt

Best to replace all the glow plugs? One bad one found
I used a magnet. 1/4" drive ratchet with a universal and lots of patience for that one! I actually had more difficulty hooking the wire back up.- ghunt

Are they all Motorcraft/Beru? I don't think you need to replace all of them. The rear two were burnt out on my truck, found out after pulling them that somebody had put Champions in there at some point. I just replaced those two, and one other Beru that had burnt out, had no other issues in the...- ghunt

A few more questions...things I found while checking glow plugs...
Yeah, the pyro probe should definitely be in the manifold. I put mine in my passenger side manifold since I could access it from inside the wheelwell. The K&N lets in a lot of fine dust. On mine I had made a custom intake for it, ran a K&N for awhile then switched to a synthetic media cone...- ghunt

What's funny to me is the truck is rusty all over but doesn't appear to have anything actually rusted out. Around here you have trucks that look new but the fender arches/cab corners/rockers are all rusted out :rolleyes:- ghunt

Need help with glow plug system
I had a glow plug short and catch fire on my old truck...that was fun. I had to cut some of the wire off and splice a new piece in, and there's not a lot in there to work with as it is.- ghunt

Yeah, duh...it's been awhile since I did that job! I ordered Viton o-rings with the hose too, got it all together. Somebody had listed the size here so that's what I ordered, can't remember now.- ghunt

I just filled up the Stang a few days ago...Regular gas here is $3.21, 93 (which I run in the Mustang) is $3.41, and diesel is still $3.99. Ugh, I remember that issue now. Gas has come down 30-40 cents in the last month or two, I don't think diesel has even come down 10. Doesn't make any sense...- ghunt
