No lights flashing. No idiot lights on. Good info there. That makes sense to me. I'll be looking at that engine speed sensor. Is it on the crank?- Figor

1994 digital mileage counter blank
So I have a few things going on and I think they are electrical related. First the mileage counter , which is digital, is no longer showing anything. Second the tranny is shifting hard. Are these two issues limp mode? What kind of computer is on this truck? I checked fuses and don't see...- Figor

Yeh I’ve been battling mice for 20 years. Somebody dumped a cat here a few years ago but I got rid of it. Coyotes were trying to get it. Wish they’d get on the mice. I don’t do much towing. I was just taking an empty trailer to a friends house. I is a pretty large triple axle trailer. But in general I don’t use this truck to tow with. I mainly use it around here to lift stuff with the crane. That may be part of the problem. Not using it enough. I’ve been...- Figor

There’s a guy over at the lister diesel forum that runs his Benz on nothing but waste oil and gas. I don’t know what his mixture ratio is but he’s been doing it for years. Water in intake, what parts if any are saveable?
Might run. I had water in the cylinders if my truck. Pulled the glow plugs and barred the engine over gently as suggested by this forum. Squirted som wd 40 in the cylinders put it back together and no problems so far.- Figor

6.9IDI Nightmare
Personally I wouldn’t trust a shop diagnosis. It might be the cdr and they could be saying rings and pistons so they can get a rebuild price then just clean out the cdr. But I’m paranoid like that. I like to try and see what’s wrong myself then if I don’t want to fix it I know what a shop would...- Figor

Lift pump mechanical or electrical?
$30? I can’t find one cheaper then $70. Guess I’m looking in the wrong places. Lol. I agree. I like to keep things mechanical. I just did the tractor that way in a pinch. Is it better to convert to electrical? I did this on a small tractor as a band aid 10 years ago which became a permanent fix. Just wondered if it would be as reliable on the road?- Figor
