turbo options?
I've got a Banks unit on my 6.2 pickup, and it makes 8-9psi when I'm flat on the go petal and the engine is AT redline before it shifts (auto). You're right though, sensible driving nets around 7 without floorboarding it. The non-gated turbo (big housing) is RPM reponsive, not heat/load...- chevydiesel

Geardrive install on mechanically injected 6.5
Good deal! Glad the gear drive is still not very noisy. You had mentioned that you took the entire front end apart, you were'nt kidding one bit. I've got the lean over the core support method just a few times now. At least your chest isn't sore for half a week afterwards right? Good...- chevydiesel

help with exhaust
Ditto on not straight pipin' a 6.2 non turbo. They're gonna be pretty loud. You don't want that gasser exhaust rumble do you? Find a used muffler off a duramax or other diesel, could quieten it down a bit. Flowmaster maybe.- chevydiesel

6.5 heads on a 6.2?
Just like dummy says.. 6.5 heads will work fine on a 6.2. As for gaskets. use the gaskets for the heads you are using, that's the general rule. For 6.5 heads, you'll want the better 6.5 gaskets (re-inforced on the back and front holes where the water passage is). For 6.2 heads...- chevydiesel

You might want to check for air in the system, it's amazing how poor an engine will start wtih just a little air in the injection system. I'm jealous, I'm wishing I had a forklift in the shop!!! look closely and you'll see that I am using a ventilated 6.2 block as additional counterweight.:D- chevydiesel
