This thread snuck up on me and bit me in the seat meat! Taking care of Bonnie has consumed a lot of my time.. We are planning on arriving on 6/30 and leave on 7/5... No site info yet..

Bonnie also wants to head for Elkhart, IN first.. That must be the RV mecca of the planet.. We want to do a factory tour, or two, before we head to the rally....

Sure is Forest River, Heart city, Lippert, Attwood, Dutchman, Coachmen, Jayco (not sure if they have a plant here anymore), Damon, Four Winds, the list goes on. If you can name em there probably here or were at one time. And you cant forget the RV hall of fame. Most of them run a 4 day week with a shutdown on Monday just in case you wanted to see some action. And not just half complete stuff and shipping/ receiving people.

I called about a month ago to make reservations. The campground called me back while I was meeting with my attorney. Talk about bad timing. They were kind enough to take my info and reserve a site without a credit card deposit. I made the payment today to make it official. I'm in Saturday through Saturday.

Sure is Forest River, Heart city, Lippert, Attwood, Dutchman, Coachmen, Jayco (not sure if they have a plant here anymore), Damon, Four Winds, the list goes on. If you can name em there probably here or were at one time. And you cant forget the RV hall of fame. I also think on top of that.... most Customized (Luxury) Vans and Mobile Homes are/were made in the "Greater Elkhart Area" A lot of the "custom vehicle" RV, car/truck were there..... I guess because it is not to far from Detroit..... I know there are/were a lot of automotive suppliers in Northeast Indiana / Northwest Ohio area.....

My idea of "Roughing it" is when there is not enough electricity to run the AC,...Well be in the 5ver,...

Camping is when the AC and Microwave don't work...... carry our own DC power and water.... so the ***** still works.... which is important....

I tent camped in '05,'06, '10, and '11. Cabin in '08 and '09. Missed the '07 rally as I was moving that weekend from Toledo, OH to Greenville, Ky. Not too bad as long as it's not raining. Wife hates it though.

Will be in the camper this year.

I tent camped in '05,'06, '10, and '11. Cabin in '08 and '09. Missed the '07 rally as I was moving that weekend from Toledo, OH to Greenville, Ky. Not too bad as long as it's not raining. Wife hates it though.

Will be in the camper this year.
