I'm green with envy Corey! Mine is not working right now due to a leaky hose. I learned something today. Apparently there is a hose difference between a factory installed AC and a Dealer Installed AC. According to the Ford dealer there is a diff in length from the hose that leaves the compressor. Naturally I have the wrong hose! And it's 103 degrees outside

Running R134A in the F250 and it does fine. However, I recharged the system in the crew cab with good 'ol R12 and it certainly is cooler than the R134 system in the F250.

I only did a quickie refill to get 70. It kept me comfy to and from the rally. When I got back I noticed some oil slinging on the hood, air intake hose, and on the fenderwell

It got r134, but I had no clue what was in it.

Too bad you can't ship.....

You FL guys need to take a field trip over here. At the local appliance/refrigeration parts house here I can get R-12 in any size can, as well as the "universal" stuff you can add to R-12 or R-134a, although I've never tried it.

why do you need r12?

i can get some, still have plenty too. Lately i've been using the envirosafe R12A and it works quite well on the older mercedes Benz.

btw the R134A system in my CCLB is just as cold and insulating the lines depending on where you do it may just hurt your performance.

Theres no physical way a ac system can get to 15F. The low pressure cycle switch is set for ~25psi to cycle in. Theres no way it can get down that cold.
