Ahhhh... This is where I got you...
The ScanGauge II can be calibrate more accurate than the overhead idiot. Like stock truck speedometer/odometer like my own is off a small percentage... Like I'm off 0.5 MPH so in my full tank run checking with my ScanGauge II and my GPS (Garmin GPS V) I found that the odometer is off up to 15-20 miles which alters the math by 0.1 to 0.2 MPG's...
You thought I didn't keep a written fuel log...
I've kept a fuel log on my truck since 22K miles to current. I've logged every ounce of fuel...
You must be registered for see images attach
Now lets do some math on this entry...
123,907 - 123,558 = 349 Miles
349 miles / 14.893 = 23.43 MPG
$67.00 / 14.894 = $4.498 (Per gallon calculated)
I really do wish I had my camera that day... But it was quite the cheap fill for such distance! But my ScanGauge II was about 0.2 MPG off from my math that fill... This is because of the odometer reading...
For my full write fuel logs and graphs there on my web site as well... I got nothing to hide...

At current fuel prices rising in New Meadows, ID... I can't afford to keep filling my truck to make a point with MPG but when I got a accurate tool that
CAN be calibrate to any vehicles I'll continue to use it.
This is the only way to calibrate the ScanGauge II is to fill to the brim twice and get the offset of gallons... To calibrate the ScanGauge II is fill up and enter amount of fuel you pumped in you tank to fill. It calculates the offset percentage from that... During my fill up though my ScanGauge tells me exactly how much full I can pump in and how much it will cost! Something the "
Overhead Idiot" can't do..
Also the enter up above I re-calibrated the ScanGauge II at that point since both fills are back to back... So I know I calibrated for now...
