I think that still depends on the axle itself.
Which one you wanting specifically?
Drw? Srw?

SRW. Did they do that to both front and rear at the same time or just fronts earlier? I should have specified I was more wondering about the front.

Well on my 1994 drw f350 the rear 10.25 drums slide right off.
My front rotors are bolted to the back of the hub.

Do you know what year they made the front rotors slide off the studs instead of having the bearings and all in there?

The change should have been the 99 model year F-250, F350 Super Duty trucks. That is when they went with the D-50 monobeam and in the F-450, F-550 when with the "Super 60" for the 4x4 front axle. This is also when the lug pattern went from 8x6.5" to 8x170mm, and the rear axle got disk brakes with the e-brake in the rotor hat.

I know for a fact, the rotors on the Front D-50 and the Rear Sterling 10.50 on my Excursion slide off the lugs when the caliper and caliper bracket are removed.

There was also a change in 05 I believe, when they went to even bigger rotors and a larger wheel. My 03 has 16" rims factory and I think they have a 17" or even 18" factory rim.

Snicklas: thanks for the informative post. The reason I asked is to decide my next truck when I can afford it.
