No real questions just an atta boy. I have been thinking about doing this for a while but welding the jack up was always the scary part. I'm not a great welder and that's enough pressure to hurt you if it's not right.

what kinda metal shaving was it? aluminum? steel?

That metal shaving is from threads. Probably from the top thread of the injector. Remember that injector body is a softer material than the nuts used with the hard lines.

Yup, came from the threads. The top thread on that injector was slightly rolled over. I'll chase it and put it back in service.

Welding the jack-style one was a pain with stick or flux core wire. I'm still chasing pinholes on it!

Oh heck ya;Sweet, I need a porta power around the shop anyway. I used a harbor frieght porta power to straighten up a toyota cab once...very handy. Looks like a cheap handful of parts to get it done too. Thanks for sharing.

question, you drained the hyd fluid and filled it with WMO, correct?

Yup, old stuff was drained out and I pumped a fair amount of WMO through to wash out any remnants.

They were all Italian B-codes, made in 1984, rebuilt back in 99 (and now 2015).
