Looking for pop test specs for injectors on a 1952 d4 cat. s/n 7u17321.
Thanks
Thanks
I would consider them capsule injectors and I was thinking in that psi range. Manual is not helping, just saying send to cat, but does show removing the cover off the pump. New injectors were only $50,the kicker is the old ones and new ones appear to have 0 pop pressure. Wonder if there is some special trick or tooling for testing other than just a screw on adapter. Knowing that these are installed finger tight I am not sure what was even used to pop test them.I’m thinking that has the capsule style injectors still by that year? If so the pop pressure is acceptable down to 400 psi. Haven’t seen an adapter to run one of those in years
and there in lies the problem, every local that could rattle off the information I need has passed away. Sad to think of all the knowledge that has disappeared.Yeah I would do that. The serial gave me nothing so try and get a grey beard on the phone who knows what you’re working on, the new generation of techs wont speak the lingo
I have not even seen the thing, I am just the parts and information guy, but I would like to see it start also.I request startup video
