Hey everyone! New member but ling time lurker, soon to be owner of a clapped out F800 dumper.
I can't remember the model year off the top of my head. I'm thinking it gas to be from the 80s, since it has a regular hood and not a flip up front. It's pretty basic. 370 Cid 4 barrel gasser (I can hear boos from the peanut gallery), Eaton 5 speed, single speed rear end, single axle. It's sporting hydraulic breaks instead of air.
I've worked on a lot of Isuzu/GMC can over trucks, but this is my first time with a Ford. I'm looking for any suggestions on what to look out for as far as issues with these models.
I also have an F250 of the same vintage that I may be parting out. I'm wondering what parts crossover there might be (if any). Looks like the doors and glass are the same. Looks can be deceiving. I once had an 84 Mercedes, looked exactly like an 85 but none of the front clip parts were the same.
Thanks for your input!
