Looks like the Trans/Xfer case is a scam.
My BIL got ahold of the guy and said he would be there on Fri afternoon to pick it up. Supposedly the shop is only open 3 - 6pm, and the guy had 10 people ready to
pick up the trans, and he better get his money sent soon.
Also he wanted it sent through Vemo (think that`s right). so he had to sign up and get an account etc...
Sent the money, and confirmation the guy was paid.
But then he wouldn`t answer his phone or messages.
My BIL get there today, and the shop is owned by some one else and is really cleaned up compared to
the pictures on his webb site. And they owned it the past 4 years.
Only time he has been seen is when he has some old
car project to sell.
Last I talked to him this morning he was going to the sheriffs office, and going to contact Vemo and his bank. We`ll see how this works out.

I hate to hear that, but it happens all too often. I hope he can at least get his money back. Ideally, the scammer will get into some kind of trouble as well.

That's why every online/app based sales platform says "BEWARE OF SCAMS, DO NOT WIRE MONEY" etc right on the search page or chat screen.
I don't know what the law/bank will say, hopefully at least the bank can cancel the transaction and go after the guy.

My BIL made a police report, and they know the guy, he has been in trouble before with them.
We`ll see where it goes.
The guy needs a little Police brutality applied to him.

If anyone ask for Vemo or zelle or cash apps for payment, tell them no. Those apps offer no protection, either cash or PayPal only as goods and services, PayPal has protection for both buyer and seller. If they ask for PayPal as friends and family again tell them you will only send goods and services. Other wise you can bet 100% it scam.
