Hey my first post though I've been lurking for a couple years. Retired heavy equipment mechanic yard foreman so been at it awhile but never really appreciated diesels until I graduated from cars to heavy equipment in 91. At any rate, I lucked into a 94 IDI in an F350 crew cab with only 166,000 original miles. Has a vibration that increases with speed coming from the drive line. Previous owner had parked it because they couldn't get rid of a drive line vibration which was destroying the front U Joint. They had replaced the front half of the driveshaft but with no luck. I noticed that not even putting new straps on, was I able to tighten the joint down enough to prevent the cups from walking. Seems I remember a thread on how some transmissions had a slightly different size on the output yolk that took a joint with two different sizes

Find out definitively if that yoke takes a 1330, 1330C, or 1350 joint (and what straps you bought.) It changes up sometime in the 90's.

Cup size for those is 1-1/16", 1-1/8", and 1-3/16" respectively.
