Want to buy or rent a diesel timing light like Snap-on Mt480, or diesel timing light converter, like Ferret 765-01.

Need to have adapter to fit Ford 1985 6.9L IHI engine.

Welcome to the forum. The above advice about the upcoming get together is a good idea. You can meet others with the same trucks and the help is way more valuable than what you get from any shop or Dealership. I can'y help with the timing lite but. I do have a timing meter rental program that has helped many members here. In the Vegas area we have a few members with timing equipment. If you find something on ebay please contact me before buying. All the Snapon mt1480 meters are no longer supported by Snapon and no parts can be purchased from them. Most here will time by using the pulse method. Thats a magnetic probe on the dampner tab and a pulse clamp on the number one injector hard line. Using a timing lite is not going to break down a degree of timing into a tenth either. My Kent Moore J33300-A meters have a microprocessor in them that does the timing for you down to a tenth of a degree. No need for a timing lite shining on the dampner tab.

I have a Snapon-on MT 257 Diesel pulse adaptor and a Snap-on MT254, I no longer need. Would like to sell both together.---Rob------ also have the adjustable timing lite and the 1/4 in line clamp,I'll try to post a pic later
