Anyone running WMO in medium duty HEUI system trucks? I'm looking for an older dt466 mechanical but have come across a really good deal on a freightliner with C7 Cat. Just wondering if anyone has experience trying it

Thanks

I heard from one guy running it in c12. His experience was diesel and light wmo concentration. He said didn't notice till about 50 percent wmo. Then it cranked a long time to start and smoked. He used it to dispose of wmo and experiment more than savings. Not sure of how long/far he did it or long term study type things. There are a few running it in old 2stroker Detroits. Which have cam injectors. C12 has similar design from the looks of it. So I am curious if cam injectors hold up good to wmo blends better then other types?

Around 1996 international used the p7100 ppump injection pump in the dt466 before going to dt466e. So it would be very close to a ppump 12 valve. Several friends think that it would be an oil eater.

I was curious about the 7.3 powerstroke, I have a 2000 350 dually I'd like to run with a transfer tank. Glad to hear a 50% mix is working well for you. Thank you all for your input

I'm running 50% WMO w 20% RUG,50% diesel in a 2000 7.3 WMO filtered to 3 Micron davco 382 2-micron filter, aux fuel pump. no problems so far. 30,000 mi
New ot this forum and first post. Curious if you could update me on your system. I just bought a centrifuge for cleaning WMO for use in my home home brew water boiler (primary heat in winter). The plan was to use the excess in my L99 7.3 dually, or worst case in my genset and forklift.

did you need to do any mods to the 7.3 to get it to burn the WMO? how did you blend the fuels? with a power mixer of some sort? I was looking at a taking cleaned WMO 90% RUG 10% and then mixing this in a 50/50% mix with diesel. is this basically the same as you are doing?

thanks for any information you can provide.

I ran some wmo in my 95 PSD. Low concentration. No gasoline added. Made the exhaust stink pretty bad and clogged up the fuel bowl stuff.

If I was to do it again, I'd add some better filtering. A racor primary or similar.
