I have a chance to get a 6 speed with built in transfer case from a 2007 (6.0 or 6.4) 4x4. They do not say what truck, F250 or F350. Is it a bolt in? If not, would it be worth the trouble to install it in my 87 F350 4x4 (as a replacement for a T-19 4 speed on 4.10 axle gears). This is the first 6 speed I have seen for sale, do not know how much overdrive it has, if any.

The bellhousing is different - 7.3 PSD and IDI are the same, 6.0/6.4 are the same as the gasser pattern as far as I can tell.

OD ratio is very close to the 5-speeds; I'd probably just swap one of those.

Bellhousing different
Likely drive shaft lengths be different

It has a 1st like a PS 5SP ZF 2nd is like our idi zf OD is close to same as our zf

If free n u can manage new shafts n such be kewl...but hardly worth it.

Thanks! Not even close to free, just wanted to know if it was worth the effort, seems not. Even though I have a machine shop, why spend good time modifying stuff that may not be what I need/want? I'll keep looking.
