Thank you. How does that differ on our trucks from the underhood connector for the transmission test port?

Since we don't have OBD1 does it do anything at all?

It’s the same minus the solid orange red stripe wire which I believe is for rabs.

Here’s the obd1 plugged into both

Both will read trans codes, under the hood reads abs as well. I always use the one under the hood because it’s much easier to get to

That’s not the obd port, that’s for the door chime, the obd port is under the by by the drivers side hood hinge.

Haha I figured it would be weird for ford to spend the money on two connectors for one things, thanks @ifrythings!

My opinion is that technically, there is OBD1 controls with the E4OD transmission even though it doesn't control any engine functions.
