Learning Slowly...
Well, today I inspected a 7.3l Powerstroke Excursion that I'm considering purchasing. Everything pretty much checks out OK, 'cept the locking hubs which is a known quantity.
The issue is that it has a SVO install on it that is 95% OK, doesn't reach high enough temps - 150F isn't high enough in my book - I'll just add a 36 plate FPHE and should be OK. The biggest issue is that it uses 4 - thats right 4 inline filters for WVO - sounds good right? Well. They're all 19 microns. The stock fuel filter is 9 microns.
Granted the vehicle only has 5k on grease so far and seems to perform fine, I'm worried about the injectors, and from what I understand the injectors are very expensive on Strokes. Whaddaya all think?
