It's an extra throttle spring. Looks like it's taken off of a gasser.

Here's my throttle setup, for comparison.

Better pics without springs on for comparison?

Just take a pic from higher up, like mine, and post it here. :D

There are much wiser eyes than mine, here.

The more eyes that can see it, the better.

The end of that spring goes in same hole as the other spring it surrounds. Kick-down for C6 tranny

Fill in your sig line with the statts on your truck so we know what we are dealing with..

Pull the extra springs off the ip, take a detailed pic of the linkage. (Like seldo')

The c6 kickdown rod goes from the linkage to the tranny.

Bellcrank is a fulcrum type lever.

It is factory, on all of mine, so should be attached. Use a pair of needle nose pliers or hemostats to wiggle it back in there. Not hard to do. You are doing really good at checking out the small stuff there.
Mine are all non-turbo & I put a rubber mat over the air filter covers to keep water out of the intake.

I think I did the sig thing right...this is all new to me!
Nooooo....not gonna pull springs off. I know absolutely nothing about this...told ya I'm a cowgirl and trying to get on the right trail to someone that is able to eval. I have contacted Conestoga Diesel here in Pa...they are on vacay until the 8th and replied by email promptly! So I am just looking at things and noticed this spring was not attached(detail is my line of work..dentistry!)
