I was wondering if bullnose doors would fit my bricknose. I found a good deal on a set of doors off an 84' extended cab f150 but I am not sure if they fit. They look the same, but I just want to make sure, so I would appreciate if anybody could straighten me out. thanks Rock
I remember seeing this discussed before on a different forum. As I recall the 80-86 doors will work on 87-96 trucks, but not the other way around. Something with the contour around the lower rear corner. I'm not sure how well they fit, but they are supposed to work. Edit: found it... http://www.garysgaragemahal.com/#nabble-td27026 It looks like the area around the cab corner is different on the 80-86 trucks. 87+ have the seat belt retractor in that area so they redesigned the cab corner to fit. I do know the vent window is different on 92+ trucks, the front corner is squared off for dash clearance.
I don`t see a nickles difference in the doors. I just pulled a set of doors off a 94 f150 at PNP on 02/18. Last day of their sale for $25 ea. Today I ordered new wind wing gasket, window channel, manual window winders and window wipes from Rock Auto. Should be here next fri. $148.40 with shipping. $18.48 Bronco Grave yard wanted $56 for shipping, total was over $250. screw that. All comes out of the same Chicom wearhouse. After 92 the point of the wind wing was chopped off to clear the redesign of the Dash. So yeah the 80 - 86 should bolt onto the 92 and later, just won`t be able to open the vent window. So when I get the doors stripped down and rebuilt and mounted I`ll post back. Iam getting rid of the electric window winders. Friend of mine already laid claim to them. Goat.
