My "99.5" PSD Avatar certified weight is 7220 for plates in Ohio. That was without the 5er hitch and the Transflow 100 Gal. fuel tank. Fuel tank is 125 Lbs. empty and the 5er hitch is 70 Lbs. Haven't weighed the two IDI's yet.

Remember, they ARE buying scrap across those scales.

Well actually they buy the scrap at the recycle yard, next door. The weight on the actual scale would have to be heavier to benefit them. And really it doesn't help them as long as the difference between one weight and another is constant.

86 F250 4X4 Xcab Longbed weighed in at 7260 leaving the dump with my wife (105) and me (235) in it. I had about 1/2 a tank of fuel, and I do have a cut down wood decked Knapheide flatbed with a gooseneck hitch.

Mine is 6000 even without the canopy or me in it and less than a full load of fuel. I don't normally carry a spare though.

Yes, these older trucks are actually quite light. The open channel, 8" frame rails make for a strong, but flexible and light weight truck. The new F150s are almost as heavy as my F250.

I think my F150 is in the 4500lb range if its equally stripped down.

I was hanging out in the scalehouse of the gravel pit the other day, and a new toyota tundra like the one in the attached pic came in to get a load of gravel. When he weighed in, he was only 2600 kgs (5720 pounds) and when he weighed out he was 3400 kgs (7480 pounds)....which is only about 100 pounds more than my truck weighs EMPTY! I was pretty shocked.

I'd have to dig around for the scale slip, but, my 6.9 truck weighs around 5400-5500 if memory serves. Reg cab long bed, 4 speed, 44TTB, nothing really heavy about it.
My ugly old Dodge on the other hand.... 7200 with a full tank of fuel, hang the plow off of it and it's 8200(no wonder it kills front springs... LOL.) It's a reg cab and it's just as heavy as an OBS crew, and my buddy's 03 CC LB Cummins... LOL

Mine weighs ~7500lbs empty, but my max was just under 14k...that was with a little under 3 tons of softball sized concrete chunks in the bed.
