I like to put OEM and Denso compressors in customer cars. But CW just jacked their warranty up to the 2 year that Denso has been using. Any feedback?

Buy american#1
Buy from our allies( if we got any) #2
Buy china never.
But as a shop owner you have to go with the best quality.

Ive had good luck with their NEW compressors... I don't buy any compressor that's "Reman" unless its an OEM (ac delco, motorcraft, etc..). I had 4 parts store remans blow apart on me in a week before they gave me the CW "New" compressor. Worked great until I sold it.

Rockauto OEM would be my choice for a customer's car.

Often we can't wait that long. I can't have a family of felons and their future felon kids hanging around for 3 days

I thought I had read elsewhere that the four Seasons ones were good, but Danielle said the opposite.

Completely understand. I don't run a shop but I do a good bit of work on the side out of my garage. Thankfully, my customers are pretty easy going about things so I can put them off a few days to save them some money and get a better quality part.

Run away from Four Seasons. That's the one I killed 4 of in 1 week. First 2 rattled... 3rd one had clutch issues and leaked... 4th one locked up all together 5 miles after installation and ate my brand new serp. belt leaving me stuck. (new dryer and orifice tube each time with proper pag oil and freon... all pulled down and held under full vac. for an hour with each change). Four seasons compressors are JUNK! After 4 return trips (all of which they had warrantied the dryer, orifice tube, compressor, and freon).. the manager gave me the Compressor Works new compressor (which was $80 more) as the warranty replacement. Worked great and never had another issue. Sold the truck 2 years later.

Two years ago cw were as cheap as everco and 4 seasons with almost no warranty.

Now they're very close in price to denso and Delphi and have the same warranty as denso.

If I weren't so lazy, I'd research if cw was purchased by another company.

And cw used to make you splice in the old connector, now most are direct fit.

Sometimes hunting for parts takes more time than doing the job haha
