was doing great. slow and steady( just like a tractor should) then POP! snaped yolk off the rear shaft, leaving the ujoint in the rear yolk. was doing so good to considering i was in the 8000 lb street diesel class, weighing at only 5900 lbs!

Hey I think it was great, the engine has good power, so much that it broke the yoke.

u can hear at 7 seconds in where i pushed the pedal all the way down. was only half throttle in the begining.

Wasnt doin too bad for not a lot of power, not a lot of weight, and a real short wheelbase!

Nothing to laugh at there; that was a good run, makes you wonder how far it would have gone if there wasn't a parts breakage.

yea it had me pissed i was down at my buddys cummins talkin before he went to get in line and started to walk back and theres dieselcrawler limpin off the track i was like what the fudge happened i missed it

Good pull man, your camera man jinxed ya, maybe if he had been at the end of the run you woulda had a full pull and then broke....

sry that was a good run ive seen some bad runs at the fairground when they have the truck pulls here most go 2 seconds and driveshaft flying everywhere sry i needed somethin to make me laugh but id help ya fix it just to show im sry

Coulda' been worse like a blown head gasket or busted trans...LOL....She was pulling along ok - it's unreal how much these old IDI's sound like a 2 stroke detroit under heavy loads and big rpm's....I get some funny looks when my 6.9 is howling big time on the hills when it's loaded....Usually tickling the governor in 3rd gear and howling for all she's worth but pulling really well.

yea, i was at the 148 mark when it snapped. ALMOST HALF WAY! normally i do see em snap early, not like that.


plus the rear shaft in my truck, is a ford bronco front shaft shortened 2 inches.

very cheap fix. had 3 other shafts laying at home ready to go. lol being a wheeler, i always have a spare shaft. lol
