Ron, to get the orifice tube out You just need a 1/2" quick connect tool to separate the two pipes and just snap it on to re-install it. You may need a pair of needle noose pliers if it is as stuck as the one in the pic.
Now about the system, it was charged but it would not work bc of this orifice tube being clogged. We discharged it, flush it, vacuum it for about 1 1/2 hours and then recharge it with the proper pre-oiled refrigerant. At the same time I replaced the reservoir (small black tank) since I thought it would be good with all that stuff in the OT. The a/c is really cold now and it comes ON fast which is what We wanted. I don't know how much time is left on this compressor, hope it is a long time, but is has not leaked so far
