VACUUM PUMP PULLEY PULLER

Will this work for occassional, once in a blue moon, vacuum-pump pulley removal ??

I have an OTC kit, basically the same. I've never tried it on a vacuum pump but it does work good on a PS pump....The V pump pulleys are usually realy siezed on there from what I've seen.

Yes it should work. The ones I've done were removed with Autozones cheapo "loaner" tool.

I believe you could clearance (grind) the tool to work better with the vacuum pump pulley.

I bought that puller from Harborfreight to change my vacuum pump and it worked fine. It was actually harder to install the pulley on the new pump than to remove the pulley from the old pump. I used an impact wrench and it made short work of it.

it will work fine i have the same kit and used it a few times and has held up fine

i have the exact same kit but from napa and mine worked wonders.

Be absolutely certain that your new pulley is correct, i.e the correct taper. Ford made two pulleys and two pump shafts. Either will work fine as a pair, but the taper is different and pulleys and shafts with different tapers will not work together.
