I have an OTC kit, basically the same. I've never tried it on a vacuum pump but it does work good on a PS pump....The V pump pulleys are usually realy siezed on there from what I've seen.

Yes it should work. The ones I've done were removed with Autozones cheapo "loaner" tool.

I believe you could clearance (grind) the tool to work better with the vacuum pump pulley.

I bought that puller from Harborfreight to change my vacuum pump and it worked fine. It was actually harder to install the pulley on the new pump than to remove the pulley from the old pump. I used an impact wrench and it made short work of it.

Be absolutely certain that your new pulley is correct, i.e the correct taper. Ford made two pulleys and two pump shafts. Either will work fine as a pair, but the taper is different and pulleys and shafts with different tapers will not work together.
