Wow that is just so wrong..... Just when i thought Gm was starting to head in the right direction. Boo Gm.
Make a Diesel Vette!!!!
Actually I read somewhere that they might put one in the new Camaro when it's released.
V-6 or a diesel?
Diesel.. seriously. I'll try to find the article.
Wasn't the first gen of the vette six bangers? - 235 (blue flame 6) (150hp)
So it would seem that they are looking to come full circle.
I know that with todays tech that the power barrier has been pushed up in the V6 engines but there is the mental thing that they must overcome to make the six banger vette fly with the public.
I would be interested in knowing what they are getting power wise out of the test mules that they have assembled (you know that have have a couple laying around) if they are talking about it.
But think of it for a minute... lighten the weight of the entire car and you have made the car feel more powerful plus the handling would increase I'm sure because it would have less slinging around.
Now the diesel sports cars (Camaro) that I'm sure will be a harder sale to the public than a bringing back the V6 Vette... As you know I'm a fan of the diesel (why else would I be here) but the general public is no so... Because of the stigma of diesels are dirty stinky noise slow slugs...
Maybe Chevy will put nawwzz on it from the factory.
Yeah, but now that the Audi R10 TDI has clean swept the American LeMans season we may see a diesel sports car coming.
Put a stout dual turbo setup on v6 vette...
we'd have a new grand national maybe ??? !!!
all of that is just wrong in my opinion!
he he... Powerslide...
oh, that's just WRONG on so many levels...
