I had unimog fever for awhile. Got over it after owning a 406. They do have a very high cool factor but I found it to be impractical for my needs.

This issue of Truck Trend has a UniMog in the reader's ride section. Not a big spread feature, but it sure looked .

Do a search at www.hemmings.com
They have a 1980 Unimog with 20 speeds. Has front scoop bucket and a rear mounted back hoe. Think the owner is asking 23K for it.
Wild machine for sure.
There are usually 1-3 unimogs each month in Hemmings.

The open cab models are Swiss Army units.
Closed cabs are German Army or civilian issued. Or so I believe.

After owning a 416 for a couple of weeks now, theres two things I've learned.
#1 Theres almost nothing that can stop one of these brutes.
#2 You had better have a fat wallet when it comes time to buy parts...
(if you can even find them)
