overkill is under rated!
I have an 88 TBI 350 4x4 2500 suburban mainly stock. Only thing not stock is the true dual 2 3/4 exhaust from stock headers to tailpipe and wells mufflers and the breather has two air pipes instead of just one. Never overheats or gives me any problems but I've had about 4 of these trucks prior to this one and never delt with the underhood temps being so high. Run it for less than a minute and everything under the hood is excessively hot. Only thing different about this suburban and my others is it has a weird oil cooler with hoses that come out the oil filter housing to a Hayden style cooler in front of the radiator. Maybe 8x12. Fan works great and sounds like my diesels fan but still scorches the under side of the hood. Leuvering? Hood scoop? What you gentelman think?
