Turbo IDI intake air leak?

Hey everyone, so I recently put a H1C on my 6.9 IDI which I mated to the previous factory turbo kit. I hooked up a boost gauge and took it for a drive; sounded great but lacked even a 1 psi. So I take the turbo off and leave just the up pipe and ATS intake snail attached. Then I put my hand over the intake snail while it's running expecting it to sputter... nope, keeps running fine, even with my hand blocking the intake!!! Where else could it be drawing air in from, the CDR hole I poked holes in to drain oil? Or did the shop I payed to have this thing resealed stuff me. Any advice would help! Should I murder the mechanics who took 3&1/2 months to rebuild it?!

Okay, so I checked the gasket for the intake snail and it is fit. I tried blocking the intake again and it still runs normal... whenever I rev it I hear a quick whining noise, that I previously thought was a belt or the turbo, but it's something near the rear of the engine.

Okay, issue solved... don't you love it when instead of the problem being extreme it turns out that you're just incompetent. So while I was installing the turbo kit I used a Cummins flexible oil drain into the CDR hole... turns out I never installed the freeze plug into the hole in the back of the intake that the CDR vents crankcase gas through.

Alright man, the pump is turned up only about 1/2 and I achieved about a whopping 2psi at near 2,000 to 2,200 rpm. I think the 18cm housing is just too big. I do have the stock Garrett ready though.

You’re going to need more than half a flat and another 1000 rpms. 1-2 flats should do it, and these IDIs need rpm

The numbers I got were when driving. If you just rev it it won't create much if any boost until the rpms go down and the turbo hasn't slowed; then you may get 1-2 psi.
