I read a lot of reviews and most people say the cheap ones are great until you try to remove it then they fall apart

HM&FC T3 Titanium Lava Cover Turbo Shield Turbo Blanket with Fastener Springs https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01A6F02TW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_qvTdDb9GJJZ55

This is the one I personally have and it does not have great reviews, however it works great! My thinking is that the diesels just don't put out the heat that gassers do so maybe that's the difference? Other than it being bad quality control chinesium.

If I were to buy one now I would find one that had the best reviews around $30 and call it a day. I've taken mine off 3-4 times and I run up to 1150* plenty, no issues with it falling apart.

I snagged one of these for under $27 shipped after tax and a tiny amount of "ebay bucks" I had. They accepted a $25 best offer.

If I actually get what's pictured, that was a good deal. They are $34 on Amazon. Based on reviews there, it holds up better than the $20-25 ones, not falling to bits after it's been used a while.

I got it today. They have changed the design slightly, for the better. It has 4 hooks like it should instead of 3. Many reviews complained about that so I guess the manufacturer listened.

I know it's not the T4 one that shows 4 hooks, because that has a different overall shape, a bit longer but on one side and it's more rounded like a snail shell. The T3 is more squared on the inner stitching for some reason.

I won't be installing it quite yet. I will do so at the same time as I have the doghouse cover off to install the water temperature gauge sensor.

What I got:

I got the turbo blanket installed today. A warning to anyone with an ATS 085, a T4 is probably the one you want. The T3 doesn't wrap around as well in my opinion.
