Not anytime in the near future. It runs like a top, but I do need to pull the water pump and put a new gasket + RTV to stop the small leak it has. Top two bolts had to be re-threaded and therefore I didnt dare torque them down as tight, add that to the fact that I didnt use any RTV, and I think it allowed a small leak (only when warm), small enough I would drive it, but I want it fixed. To be honest the truck is a backup rig for if one of our TDI's goes down, just to darn expensive to drive it around otherwise.

Just picked up parts, waiting on Mary to get home so we can go work on the truck.

New compressor, drier, orifice valve, PAG oil, freon, AC vacuum pump, manifold gauges, o-rings/gaskets, and AC flush.

Earlier today I bolted the bumper down, put the fuel doors/trays back in (locking caps so I couldnt bolt those down without going home to get truck keys). Pulled the water pump and put a new gasket behind it.

Also picked up a brake master cylinder. I think that will be tommorows goal. Tonight I want to get the AC system back into working order, then tommorow do the brakes/bleed them. I might even go into town and put some new tires on the beast!

how do you plan on sealing up the inner part of the panel? if its not sealed then it will rust from the inside out.

Already primered it all up as best as I can. In the next 5 years I will be keeping my eyes peeled for a mint Bed to replace this one.

AC is back up and running! I think I need to add another can, but I will wait until I get my fan put back on. I was using a garden hose to cool the condesor.

Going down the road it seems like at first it blows nice air then after a minute it gains a few degrees. There is a possibility that I overfilled but will give it a better look when the fan is on. Low side psi would be around50-60 psi and the compressor wouldn't kick off.
