Ok I have an update on this, unfortunately it’s not good news. So I replaced the ignition switch that bolts to the steering column that has the rod going into it. Put **** back together and the truck started right up with the turn of the key. Let her warm up a bit and figured I would take the truck for a test drive. Here’s where it gets real good. Figured I’d check lights and such since truck been sitin for a few weeks.

The second I hit the blinker lever to check the lights the engine shut down. Same as before, fried the new ignition switch. No power. ***! There was no delay literally the second the lever clicked the truck shut down....

I’m guessing theres a nasty short somehwere but I don’t know where to start? Behind the steering wheel where the cam gear is for the blinker switch/harness?
