Transmission/differential fluid?

Was wondering What type of transmission fluid and differential i need to use in my truck and what brand/types may have work the best. Wanting to change before winter so i don't loose my hands to the cold.

Open vs Posi

2wd or 4wd

Amsoil is probanly one of if not the best btw....others will comment too.

Please put your truck info in your signature, you can look at your driver side door jam or on the door itself it will give you the Vin code and maybe the axle code

Tranny is a ZF5, uses ATF. Starting in '95, ZF specified _synthetic_ ATF for the ZF5 installed behind a diesel engine. Would probably be wise with your truck.

Diff is a 4.10 Limited Slip. If you use dino gear oil, you should use the LS additive. If memory servers, synthetic gear oil does not require LS additive.
